While a maintainer already was at work building a road on the property for Westwind of Lamesa, local officials and those working to develop the 80-unit apartment complex gathered for an official ground breaking ceremony this past Thursday morning.
That housing development is scheduled for construction on 7.25 acres a short distance northeast of the intersection of N.E. 7th Street and Lynn Avenue.
Brian Wade, construction superintendent for the project, works with Watermark Commercial Contractors in Dripping Springs. Wade said he is excited to begin the construction.
