The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 100th year anniversary from 1918-2018 at its annual banquet this past Thursday evening. A highlight of the annual banquet is the awards presented by the Chamber. Davis Furniture and Hardware was named as Business of the Year for 2018, while Wayne Smith and Ellie Wilson were named as the Man of the Year and the Woman of the Year. The Chamber pointed out that Davis Furniture has been owned by the same family since 1924 and currently is operated by the family’s third generation.
