Forty-four students with Lamesa High School Business Professionals of America recently competed in that organization’s regional contest.
Thirty-four of those students are state qualifiers, six are state alternates, and seven are state qualifiers in both an individual and a team event.
If the students make it through the parliamentary competitions at state, they will compete in the state finals.
“All of these students put in a lot of hard work on their events when they committed in September and followed through until contest ... because they said they would,” LHS business and technology teacher and BPA sponsor Lisa Telchik said.
