The last Saturday in January traditionally finds members of the Kiwanis Club of Lamesa mixing up pancake batter by the gallons, flipping thousands of pancakes on the grills and cooking hundreds of pounds of bacon and sausage.
Club members have been serving the community a meal of pancakes, bacon and sausage, along with an ample supply of syrup, milk and/ or coffee, annually since 1951.
