One league official estimated this past week that about 350 youngsters step up to the plate in Lamesa’s Girls Fastpitch Softball Association and Cal Ripken Baseball League each summer.
Like many businesses and other entities responding to the relaxing of procedures put in place during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, local churches are taking a mixed approach regarding the possible resumption of in-person worship services and other activities.

Until further notice the lobby is closed. We are offering curbside meal service on the south side of the building starting at 11 a.m. for seniors 60 and over. We will continue delivering home delivered meals to our existing clients.
The Dawson County Public Library is giving away curated bundles of books every Tuesday and Thursday. The bundles are put together by request, with the age and favorite authors in mind.
