Lamesa school officials are inviting the public to participate in a program to read books to local children.
As with much of the educational instruction during the current COVID-19, that program is being handled electronically.
David Ritchey, principal of the Lamesa Success Academy, said the Tor Stories program aims to allow children to have stories read to them while they are at home.
“Our goal and our idea was to find ways for our kids to have books read to them,” Ritchey told Lamesa school board members during their regular meeting Tuesday evening.
