Nora Acosta recently announced she is retiring after a 29-year career in education. Teaching English as a Second Language at North Elementary, Acosta has been with the Lamesa school district for 12 years. She is shown with a rocking chair presented to her as a retirement gift from the school district.
The lobby and dine-in remain closed until further notice. We continue offering curb side meal service on the south side of the building starting at 11 am and until 12:15 for seniors 60 and over. We will continue delivering home delivered meals to our existing clients.
The title of 2020 Lamesa Rodeo Queen is being sought by four young ladies from the area.
Jayci Cave and Anthony Bishop have announced their engagement and approaching marriage. The weddiung ceremony is set for Dec. 12, 2020 at Kitalou Gin in Lubbock.
The Feed One Food Bank at First Baptist Church will be holding their monthly food distribution this coming Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

While many in the community had high hopes that COVID-19 would allow for at least one Lamesa summer tradition, it proved to be just that, a hope.
