Although it has been delayed several months as a result of COVID-19, an annual fund-raising car show hosted here by the Nuestro Car Club is expected to be better than ever.
Nora Acosta recently announced she is retiring after a 29-year career in education. Teaching English as a Second Language at North Elementary, Acosta has been with the Lamesa school district for 12 years. She is shown with a rocking chair presented to her as a retirement gift from the school district.
