Michelle Zavala and John Christopher Resendez of O’Donnell are engaged to be married on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the New Home Community Building in New Home. Michelle’s father and stepmother are Reynaldo Zavala and the late Laura Zavala. Her mother and stepfather are Rachel and Fabian Bosquez. Michelle graduated from the Christian Women’s Job Corps in 2013. She is self-employed. John Christopher Resendez’s parents are Johnny and Dolores Resendez. He graduated from Tahoka High School in 1998. John also graduated from Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy and received a Texas Peace Officer License.
