Three recent graduates of local high schools have been awarded a total of $40,000 in Texas FFA college scholarships.The three were presented with their scholarships during the 96th annual Texas FFA State Convention held July 8-12 in Houston.Sagan Oaks, salutatorian of the 2024 graduating class at Lamesa High School, was awarded a $20,000 scholarship sponsored by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.Klondike High School’s Raeleigh Bellows received the Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation Scholarship in the amount of $10,000.Fellow Klondike graduate Kolby Pepper received the Jim Bob Norman Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate Scholarship in the amount of $10,000.Scholarship recipients were ...
