Swimmers have until Aug. 2 to get to the municipal swimming pool to cool off.The pool closes for the summer on the first Friday of next month.The city opened the swimming pool to the public in early June.In the first 12 days it opened, the pool saw 1,435 visits from children and adults beating the heat with a dip in the pool.Swimmers carrying bags that are not clear are subject to them being inspected.The pool has a concession stand offering snacks and drinks.Pool hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
