As Christmas and New Year break ends for schools in the area, students and teachers throughout Dawson County are preparing to return to class in the next few days. Teachers at Lamesa ISD, Dawson ISD in Welch and O’Donnell ISD will meet for inservice training this coming Monday. Students in those school districts will join their teachers in the classrooms on Tuesday to begin the next semester. Classes at Klondike ISD and Sands Consolidated ISD in Ackerly will begin on Monday. The Howard College Lamesa campus’s spring semester will not begin until Jan. 14. ...
