Lights of Love will continue to take applications for children who need assistance with Christmas gifts until Monday. Lights of Love is a program that collects Christmas gifts for the children of Lamesa. New gift donations for children up to age 18 can be placed in the tubs at participating locations until Dec. 12. The Child Welfare Board will hand out the gifts to children in the community on Dec. 19. Parents or guardians of local children may complete an application requesting assistance with Christmas gifts.
