Applications for holiday assistance through the annual Lights of Love program are now being accepted, according to Jennifer Smith, one of the program’s leaders. The Lights of Love effort provides Christmas gifts for children of needy families during the days leading up to Christmas. Parents or guardians of local children may complete at application at West Texas Opportunities. To begin the process, a parent or legal guardian must call the West Texas Opportunities office and make an appointment to fill out an application.
