With the local K-Bob’s steakhouse still closed as the result of a fire three months ago, employees of the business are once again serving meals – albeit under a different name, another location and with a limited menu. The restaurant’s 22 staff members have resumed working with the recent opening of La Mesa Steakhouse, located in the former county club building at 2002 S. Hwy. 87. “It’s kind of a separate entity,” said K-Bob’s owner Sid Strebeck of Clovis, NM, about the new steakhouse.
