Twenty-four senior citizens in Lamesa had fans delivered to their homes on Friday morning to help them keep cool during the hot summer months. The fans were collected through a drive coordinated by Angels Care Home Health and Lamesa Fire-Rescue. They were distributed to individuals identified by the Senior Citizens Center as being in need of assistance. “They will be really glad to get these fans,” said Lulu Williams with the Senior Citizens Center. “There are a lot of people out there who need help.” Most of the fans donated were large 20-inch box fans.
