The Lamesa Community Player’s next show, “The Prisoner of Second Avenue”, features a married couple, Mel and Edna Edison, played by a married couple, Randy and Letha Leonard. The Leonards, having been in many productions, are seasoned LCP members. They met at Texas Tech University while pledging for the same service organization, are both educators and have been married for 38 years. Their four children – one girl and three boys – have provided nine grandchildren who fondly refer to them as Lolli and Pop. In the play, Mel and Edna’s background is sketchy.
