Organizers of the 11th annual Chicken Fried Steak Festival are putting on the finishing touches on the event which opens Thursday evening and runs until early Sunday afternoon.
Less than six months after hiring an out-oftown company to mow 11 municipal parks twice a month, Lamesa City Council members Tuesday night unanimously agreed to give 30-day notice canceling the contract and denying payment to the contractor for any recent work.
The time of games rooms in Lamesa is over - at least for now.
