In a few short minutes Friday, the six current members of Lamesa City Council called for a special election on Dec. 18 to replace one of their own.
Dawson County reached a COVID-19 milestone late this past week, as the total number of confirmed cases among local residents topped the 2,000 mark.
Only two beds were available late Friday morning at Medical Arts Hospital (MAH) for COVID-19 patients.
