Day of praise

Lamesa Middle School staff members (Top) join in prayer and praise with students, parents, community youth pastors and local religious leaders early Thursday morning near the school’s front entrance-way. The annual “See You at the Pole,” hosted by Kingdom Culture ministry, brought out over 100 residents to join in a global day of student prayer. Singers (Bottom) Ali Perez, Peaches Rodriguez and Jeremiah Lugo sing a song of praise as part of the outdoor service. Ramiro Lumbreras of Lubbock (not pictured) played the guitar to accompany their vocals. A similar “See You at the Pole” was conducted at the high school a day earlier Wednesday morning.
