Remember back in your school days you’d walk into the classroom and your teacher would announce a “pop quiz.” This week I gave a group of men a pop quiz. I asked them to write down on a piece of scrap paper the answer to this question “What’s your hope?” Then I collected and graded them before I began to speak to them about hope. It’s always good to know where your audience is and what they are thinking about before you talk to them and try to offer suggestions or ideas for growth and opportunity.
