I grew up in a family of politicians. My grandfather, Elias S. Mack, Sr., was Mayor of the Town of Lexington, SC in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s. His son, Elias S. Mack, Jr. was elected to the same office exactly 40 years to the day later by the same identical vote. One could argue that no one moved in or out of Lexington in 40 years.
