I’ve gone through three earthquakes, numerous hurricanes and even some intense flooding, but the recent weather was my first major rain storm in West Texas.
I slept through my first two earthquakes: one in Guatemala in the back seat of the family car.
The second was in Denver City. Of course, it wasn’t the full magnitude earthquake. Just tremors. But boy, was I mad when I walked into the newspaper office the following morning only to be hit with “Did you feel the earthquake this morning?”
Seems one happened outside Denver City early that morning. Me and the dog slept straight through it.
