Iwas at the annual rodeo in Odessa one year, which was held at the Coliseum. The celebrity star that year was Robert Conrad of Wild, Wild West Fame.
As events expanded, I had already ridden in my event when I noticed my friend up on the top row. As I was headed up there, Conrad came riding in under spotlight and sang us a song.
Just as I reached the top, there was commotion down in the arena. Someone drug Mr. Wild West off his horse and thumped him really good.
