Editor, Iwould like to clarify some things concerning all the homeless dogs in Lamesa and those that are helping them.We have two entities that are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming the dogs. The Lamesa Animal Shelter, Lisha Land being the ACO (animal control officer), and Lamesa Adoptable Pets run by Julie Miller. They are completely separate entities.They both rescue dogs off the streets of Lamesa. Actually, Lisha has pulled over 800 dogs off the streets of Lamesa in the last two years.It has been erroneously stated that Lamesa Adoptables pulls dogs from the Lamesa shelter.
