When Dawson County commissioners pondered about how much acrossthe- board pay raises and increases in retiree pensions would amount to, they got their answer Tuesday.County Auditor Esmeralda Felan informed commissioners on the numbers while they continued work on the 2024-2025 budget.The price for providing current employees with eight-percent increases amounts to over $200,000.The county employs about 120 workers.Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increases for retirees would amount this year to over $100,000 for onepercent increases, $251,000 at two-percent and $377,000 for three-percent hikes.Commissioners are probably leaning toward the three-percent COLA increases.
