A new elective class being offered to Lamesa High School juniors and seniors starting this fall will not only help solve the shortage of referees at school sporting events, but also give students a highly-paid skill they can use after graduation.
A Lamesa man who allegedly bragged to his coworkers about having sex with a 16-year-old child was sentenced last week to 14 years in prison for his sexually explicit photographs of her, according to Leigha Simonton, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas.
