Just as a new Toot’n Totum travel center prepares to open on the north edge of Lamesa, construction is about to begin on another large convenience store here.

Two bids, a proposal, an agreement with the school district and an update on the demolition of condemned abandoned properties are all on the agenda facing Lamesa City Council members Tuesday evening.
