Last year the Golden Tors could smell the state volleyball playoffs going into the final match of the regular season at Denver City before the District 3-3A champion Fillies ended up slamming the door shut on their post-season fate.
The Boys and Girls Youth Basketball Camp is in full swing. The camp began on Monday and goes through Wednesday in the Lamesa High School gym. According to Lamesa Boys and Girls Club Director Claudia Morales, Golden Tor Head Basketball Coach Gregg Moreland and Trenton Jones and their staffs taught the campers each session. This year instead of being split into boys and girls sessions, the groups were assigned by grade levels.
