Call it a ‘wake-up call’ or what, but the Klondike Cougar volleyballers saw their eight-match win streak snapped going into the first round of the playoffs this week. This past Saturday they dropped a tough five-set loss to one of the best schools at their classification.
Last Friday night’s high school football regular season finale here in town started out with a special ceremony recognizing the Victory Bell, which is now rung in the memory of late Golden Tornado great J.J. Koehler. He was tragically taken away from this world in a tragic automobile accident going on some 19 years ago.
