It’s an idea that was brought up before to members of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP) two years ago, but never got off the ground.
First off, thank you for reading. I know we are all very busy and taking the time to be informed about what is happening in Lamesa Independent School District means a lot to me. In these articles, I do not want to address too much. Rather than go into many things at surface level, I decided I would go into three topics per month and go a bit more in depth.
As East Texas residents return to clean up their homes and businesses after extensive flooding earlier this month, the Texas Department of State Health Services urged residents and business owners to exercise caution. Among the recommendations: · Never use gasoline-powered generators or charcoal grills indoors. Keep them outside, at least 20 feet from homes to avoid possible carbon monoxide poisoning. Direct generator engine exhaust away from windows and doors · Never mix bleach with products that contain ammonia.
Looking back on her 16th season as the Golden Tornadoes’ head softball coach Vanessa Hernandez was quick to refer to this season as one of the most ‘fulfilling’ in her high school coaching career all of which have been spent right here at Lamesa.
The long wait’s over for Borden County’s red hot softball team which is now getting another shot at the same team, which finished off its season just a year ago.
The Golden Tornadoes have their second new head coach this spring.
As much pride as Borden County seniors B.,K, Behrens and Kenzie White take in making it to state each of the past three years in high school tennis, there’s still something missing with that being bringing home a state medal.
Year in year out Nazareth is always considered as one of the tops Class 1A high school baseball programs in the state.
