Babe Ruthers fourth in state

After dropping its first game in this past weekend’s 13 to 16-year-old West Texas State Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament, the home team came back with a solid finish, winning two out of their games to get fourth out of nine teams, which battled it out right here at Joe Spikes Field “All in all, we were pretty happy with how our guys played here last week. A lot of times in the past, we’d play two games and then be out in these tournaments,” Lamesa Coach Pete Capetillo said. “We liked the way our guys competed.”
