Walter (Punkin, Spectak) Sorrells III

    Funeral services for Walter (Punkin, Spectak) Sorrells III, 44, of Amarillo, will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Second Baptist Church in Lamesa with Pastor David Boyd officiating. 
    Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. 
    Walter passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 in Dallas. He was born on September 20, 1974 in Lamesa to Linda (Edwards) and Walter (Bobo) Sorrells II. He graduated from Palo Duro High School. Walter was a custodian at Austin Middle School in Amarillo. He moved back to Lamesa to care for his grandmother some years ago. 
    His passions included producing and recording music albums and dancing. He was always joking around and making others laugh and encouraging others to achieve higher goals. 
    Walter is survived by his wife, Teresa Garcia Caudillo of Amarillo; step-child, Jacoldy Caudillo of Amarillo; mother, Linda Sorrells of Lamesa; sister, Tyronda Sorrells of Lamesa; brother, Jeremy Sorrells of Lamesa; and many aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends. 
    He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Sorrells II; grandparents, Ora D Edwards, Melvin Edwards, Estelle Sorrells and Walter Sorrells Sr.; and uncles, Craig Edwards and Sherbert Edwards.
