Vic L. Zachary

    Funeral service for Vic L. Zachary, 75, of Lubbock, will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lamesa Christian Fellowship with Pastor Gwen Aldridge officiating, under the care and direction of Branon Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at Branon Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    Vic passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born November 16, 1947 in Lamesa, Texas to Darrell and Bonnie Bell (Grayson) Zachary.
Vic served in the United States Marine Corp., was a Structural Engineer and held a Bachelor of Science in both Occupational Education and Religion, as well as a certificate in Massage Therapy. He had a great passion for photography.
    He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Zachary of Lubbock; children, Oletha Dee Ann Zachary Arterburn and husband Kevin of Waxahachie, TX, Bonnie Zachary Hollinger and husband Tim of Poplar Bluff, MO; stepchildren, Vincent Quidachay, Frank Quidachay and Jamie Cordelier; brother, Tom Zachary and wife Barbara; three grandchildren and, nieces and nephews.
    Vic is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Bonnie Zachary; sister, Tena Zachary Sawyer, and brother-in-law Joe Sawyer.
    The family suggests memorials be sent to a charity of your choice.
