    Catholic graveside funeral services for Tules Cardona, age 73, of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the Dawson County Cemetery with Deacon Saul Hernandez officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
     Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home, with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Tules passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 in Odessa, TX. 
    She was born October 6, 1948 in Tulia, TX. Tules married Augustin Cardona February 6, 1993 in Lamesa, TX.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Josefina Barrientes; her sisters, Virginia Garcia, Andrea B. Sepeda, Janie Olvera, Linda Hernanez; her step-sons, Donell Cardona, Ricardo Cardona; her niece, Jennifer.
    Tules was a homemaker. She loved roses, and attended her beloved St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Tules enjoyed spending time with her husband and grandchildren.
    Tules is survived by husband, Augustin Cardona of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Irene Luera of Lamesa, TX.; her grandchildren, Jessica Ruiz, Ruben Luera and children, and Joe Luera, Jr. and children, all of Lamesa, TX.; her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Amy, Matthew, Houston, Berlin Chavez, all of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Jesus Barrientes of Dallas, TX.; her sisters, Maria Newell, and Tina Cantu, both of Florida; her step-daughters, Cynthia Torres and children and Estella Cardona and children, all of Lamesa, TX., and Dorthy Cardona and children of Midland, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
