    Memorial service for Tommie G. Sanders, 72, of Lamesa will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Curtis Lloyd officiating. A private graveside will be held at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
    Tommie passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born May 17, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas to Troy Chester Sanders and Velma (Chancey) Sanders. He married Connie Martin January 13, 1973, in Lubbock, Texas. They were married 51 years.
    Tommie was a hardworking man, he loved working at his shop, Farmers Machine. He owned and operated his shop for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on cars alongside his father and enjoyed fishing. He was a Lamesa Gideons member for many years. Tommie was a devoted member and Deacon of Second Baptist Church.
    Tommie is survived by his wife, Connie Sanders; daughter, Kara Boltz and husband, Michael of Lubbock; siblings,Travis Sanders and wife, Wilma, Gaylene Sanders, and Wesley Sanders and wife, Lisa all of Lubbock; and grandchildren, Dawson Boltz, Madison Boltz and Emmalyn Boltz.
