Services for Thomas DeWayne Merritt, 72, of Lamesa will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at Living Hope Foursquare Church in Brownfield.
Thomas died Saturday, Sept. 10, in Lubbock.
He was born Feb. 23, 1950 in Lubbock. He worked for Gentry Bros., was a truck driver, and worked for Yoakum County and the Yoakum County Fire Department.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Mittie Merritt; a sister, JoAnne Squirres; and a brother, James Merritt.
Survivors include a son, Tomy Roberds and wife Avelia of Brownfield; two sisters, Patricia Davis and husband Elton of Archer, Fla., and Sandy Johnson of Lamesa; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
