    A Chapel funeral service will be held for Thomas M. Lopez, age 67, of Lamesa, TX. at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 14, 2020 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. A face mask is required for everyone attending the service. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety.
    Visitation and viewing will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2020 starting at 12 noon until 9:00 p.m.
    Thomas passed away at his residence on Saturday October 10, 2020 surrounded by his family. 
    He was born on November 15, 1952 in Lamesa. Thomas married Angie Rivas on February 16, 1971 in Lamesa.
    He was preceded in death by his parents Hilario and Brijida Lopez; his brother Juan Lopez.
    Thomas had worked as a machine operator for Dawson County and was engaged in farming. When he was not working he enjoyed relaxing at home, watching his Western movies on television, and spending time with family.
    Thomas is survived by his wife, Angie Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; his son, Johnny Lopez and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Lopez of Lamesa; his daughters, Wendy Lopez of Austin, TX., and Crystal Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; his brother, Shorty Lopez and wife, Mena Lopez of Hobbs, NM; his sisters, Mary Lopez of Lamesa, TX., Delia Zapata, and Yolanda Vidal and husband, Fernando Vidal of Lamesa, TX,; his grandchildren, Jacobi, Jaci, Jazlyn, Jordan, Iz’ah Sarai Lopez of Lamesa; and his great grandchildren, Luna and Anaiyah of Lamesa; several relatives and friends.
