Stella Raney

    Funeral service for Ester Estella Raney, 82, of San Angelo will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Medley officiating.
    Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. 
    Stella passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 in Lubbock. 
    She was born April 11, 1937 in Eden, Texas to Simon and Lenora (Salinas) Gonzales. She married Jeff Raney July 7, 1962 in Lamesa, Texas. 
    She loved spending time with her family and loved dancing. She always cared for her brothers and other friends. She was living in San Angelo since 1986 where she earned her degree in education from Angelo State University. Stella enjoyed a career caring for adults with special needs. She was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church.
    Stella is survived by her children, Debbie Dodds and husband, Darrell of Midland, and Michael Raney and wife, Beth of Lamesa; grandchildren, Dart Dodds, Chase Raney, Michaela Raney, and Sam Waldrip; and brother, Tony Gonzales.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Gilbert Gonzales and Felix Gonzales.
