    A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for infant, Scarlett Paloma Lopez age 2 months of Lamesa, Texas, at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 28, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko Thadathil officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 
    Scarlett was born February 6, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas, and passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Lamesa, Texas.
    Scarlett was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Epifanio Mireles, and Salome Contreras; and her cousin, Zayden Meza.
    Scarlett is survived by her parents, Stephen and Jessica Lopez of Lamesa, Texas; her brother, James Lopez of Lamesa, Texas; her grandparents, Lorenza Mireles and Regino Munoz,  Maria and Jesse Meza, and Joe and Leticia Vasquez, all of Lamesa, Texas; her great-grandmothers, Josephina Contreras of Lamesa, Texas, and San Juana Mireles of Midland, Texas; her aunts, Cassandra Meza of Lubbock, Texas, Dulse Munoz, Maria Munoz, Angelica Munoz, and Nayeli Vasquez, all of Lamesa, Texas; her uncle, Joe Vasquez of Lamesa, Texas; numerous family relatives.
