Santos V. Lopez

    Funeral services for Santos Valenzuela Lopez, age 79, of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the Templo Elim Church with Pastor Able Hernandez officiating.
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonales Funeral Home.
    The viewing will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
    Santos passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born on January 31, 1944, in Charlotte, TX. He married Jovita Pesina on April 1, 2021 in Lamesa, TX.
    Santos was preceded in death by his parents, Susano Lopez, Jr., and Juanita Lopez; son, Susano Lopez, Jr.; daughters, Alena Cisneros, Rosie Escobar, Angie Bermeya, and Olivia Gaitan.
    Santos was employed as a Crane Operator for 32 years until his retirement.
    Santos is survived by his children, his daughters, Rebecca Lopez, and Alma Lopez, both of Snyder, TX., and Joanne Posada, and Irma Padres, both of Kerrville, TX.; sons, Silberio Medina of Snyder, TX, Juan Medina of Kerrville, TX.; his sisters, Anita Munoz (Frank) of Charlotte, TX., Janie Arjeyo, Hortensia Galvan, both of San Antonio, TX., and Alicia Cavazos of McAllen, TX.; grandson, Jacob Medina of Kerrville, TX., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
