Santiaga 'Jimmie' Ramirez

    A Catholic funeral mass for Santiaga (Jimmie) Reyes Ramirez, 81 of Lamesa was be held, Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. 
    Burial followed at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.   
    Rosary was held Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
    Jimmie passed to her heavenly home Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas.   
    Jimmie was born March 6, 1939 in Seguin, Texas to Carlos and Virginia (Hernandez) Reyes. She loved spending time with her family and attending her grandkids and great grandkids events.  She also loved gardening and making flower arrangements. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church for many years.
    Jimmie  is survived by her children, Anita Ramirez Puente and  Martin Moreno, Manuel Ramirez, Lucy Ramirez Cortez and Alice Rodriguez and husband, Jose Luis all of Lamesa; sisters, Juana Garza of Seagraves, Altagracia Moreno of Pharr and Helen Sanchez of Lamesa; nine grandchildren; twenty  great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Rosalinda Ramirez and Yolanda Ramirez brother, Juan Reyes; sisters, Maria Jesus Duran, Mara Esther Garcia, Julia Sanchez, Guadalupe Moreno and Rosa Sorola; granddaughter, Diana Hernandez; and great granddaughter, Violet V. Macias.
