Rodolfo Benavides

    Funeral services for Rodolfo Benavides age 77 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Geno Salazar as the officiant. 
    The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
    Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 and on Thursday, December 19, 2019, with an Inspirational service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday with Pastor Geno Salazar officiating.
    Rodolfo passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 in Lamesa. 
    He was born on April 6, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas. Rodolfo married Teresa Bueno on March 15, 1974 in Brownsville, Texas.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo Benavides, Sr. and Micaela Benavides; his daughters, Ceilia Benavides Cavazos and Lupita Benavides.
    Rodolfo was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed being a truck driver and loved his family dearly and loved attending church with his beloved wife.
    Rodolfo is survived by his family: his wife, Teresa Benavides of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Rudy Benavides of Long Beach, CA., Frankie Benavides of Lamesa, TX., Johnny Benavides, Tony Benavides, and Rudy Benavides “3”, all of Vasila, CA.; his daughters, Sylvia Benavides, Michelle Benavides, and Maria Teresa Perez, all of Lamesa, TX., and Rosa Benavides of Las Vegas, CA.; 33 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
