Robert Valle Lopez

    Funeral services for Robert Valle Lopez, age 64, of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the church of La Trinidad UMC with Pastor Jesse Pena officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Visitation and viewing will be held at La Trinidad UMC on Monday, October 4, 2021, starting at 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with an Inspirational Service starting at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday evening.
    Robert passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his home in Lamesa, TX. 
    He was born on November 5, 1956 in Lamesa, TX. Robert married Leonora Casarez on February 28, 1975 in Lamesa, TX. 
    Robert was preceded in death his father, Manuel Lopez; his brothers, Arturo Lopez, Ruben Lopez, and San Juan Lopez.
    Robert loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music, riding-around, and loved being outside working on his yard. Robert was employed by K-Bob’s Steakhouse for 32 years. 
    Robert is survived by his wife, Leonora Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; his son, Robert Lopez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX.; his daughters, Edna Lopez of Lubbock, TX., and Stephanie Lopez of Midland, TX.; his mother, Geneva L. Rodriguez, and his step-father, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Lamesa, TX.; his brother, Manuel Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; his sister, Geneva Olivo of Lamesa, TX.; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
    Honoring Robert as pallbearers are, Aaron Lopez, Isaac Lopez, Leo Lopez, Ruben Villagrana, Chris Odom, Robert Lopez, Bryan Humerez, Isaiah Sanchez.
