Richard Allen Bird

    Richard Allen Bird, 62, of Midland, formerly of Lamesa, went to be with the Lord August 1, 2024.
    Richard was born in Lamesa, Texas on October 11, 1961. He married Linda Waller of Klondike in March of 1981, they were married 43 wonderful years.
    Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army and was in the 82nd Airborne Division, stationed at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina. He worked for TSA for 15 years. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
    He is survived by his wife Linda Bird of Midland; daughter, Sarah Truitt age 39 and husband Brad of Midland; and two grandsons, Brayden age 12, and Wyatt age 3.
    He is preceded in death by his grand-parents, JD and Inez Bennett; parents, Richard E. Bird and Sharon Bennett; and brother, Greg Bird.
    Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home.
