Ricardo Garza

    Catholic funeral graveside services for Ricardo Garza, age 74, of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Dawson County Cemetery with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety and face mask are required at funeral home and cemetery.
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 and Monday, November 16, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Rosary prayer services starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Ricardo Garza died on Friday November 13, 2020 due to the loss of his battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by love by his precious family. 
    He was born on October 2,1946 in Laredo, TX. Ricardo married Jessie “Susie” Gonzales on November 10, 1963 in Laredo, TX. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Trinidad Garza; two brothers, Juan Garza and Armando Garza of Oregon.
    Ricardo enjoyed watching sports and loved spending time in his shop building crafts, and keeping up with his current events. Ricardo was a man that was very strong in his faith, and believed in God.
    Ricardo is survived by his wife, Jessie “Susie” Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Richard M. Garza of Medicine Lodge, KS., Bobby Garza and Eva Barrera of Lamesa, TX, Victor Garza and wife, Juanita Garza of Greeley, CO., Valdos Garza of Lamesa, TX., Carlos Garza and wife, Norma Garza of Midland, TX., and Larry Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Norma Ramos and husband, Manuel Ramos of Greeley, CO., Sandie Garza of Midland, TX., and Prissy Fernandez and husband, Edward Fernandez of Greeley, CO.; 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Thila Melendez, and Juani Ramos, both of Nyssa, Oregon, and Carol Garza of Caldwell, Idaho; numerous relatives and friends.
    Pallbearers: BJ Garza, Jaymz Garza, Ryan Garza, Nick Garza, Izaiah Ramos, Coby Martinez, Xandre Fernandez.
    Honorary pallbearers: Izabella Ramos, Emma Garza, Jeslyn Fernandez.
