Rhonda Bristow
Graveside service for Rhonda Bristow, 64, of Lubbock, formerly of Lamesa, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Rhonda
Leslie Bristow passed away the week of June 12th in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born and raised in Lamesa, Texas and graduated from Lamesa High School in 1976.
Rhonda was a simple West Texas girl who enjoyed helping others. She was a lover of horses and all of her animals. She took part in 4-H and became involved in showing and training horses in college, and made a living out of it for a while. She also volunteered to help handicap people in need, helping them find recovery through horseback riding.
Despite Rhonda’s own physical limitations, she always had a kind heart and willingness to lend a hand to those around her. She was known for being a good cook and established a “share a meal” get-together on Sundays where she lived. She would routinely provide transportation to others and kind words to help them along their paths.
Rhonda was blessed with a creative mind, and this showed through her woodworking crafts and growing cactus succulents. She enjoyed making gifts to share with her family and friends She was an avid Texas Tech Red Raider and Los Angeles Laker fan and enjoyed watching them play with heated debate among family.
We would like to thank all of Rhonda’s friends, Jan and Danielle, and others for always being close by Rhonda.
We find comfort in knowing that Rhonda’s mother, Jackie Bristow, and father, Don Bristow Sr. are welcoming her with open arms. She will deeply be missed by her family and friends. We love you Sis.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the local animal shelter in Rhonda’s name.
