Retha Jackson Thomas

    A Celebration of Life for Retha Jackson Thomas of Lamesa, 75, will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Curtis Lloyd officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
    Retha passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Lamesa, Texas. She was born August 16, 1948, in Silver City, New Mexico to Westerfield England Adams and Margaret Virginia Mosley Adams.
    In 1979, she owned and operated K’Bob’s Steakhouse, after selling it she opened Retha’s Kitchen. Retha also owned Merle Norman Cosmetics where she was a hairdresser and cosmetologist. The last couple of jobs she held were at the Beehive Home as an administrator and at Northridge Retirement Center as a financial administrator. Retha was known for her love and giving nature. She loved working with the Senior Citizen community. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church for many years.
    Retha was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Mary Virginia Adams; husbands, Kyle Jackson and Darrell Thomas. She is survived by son, Edward Rowe and wife, Barbara of O’Donnell; mother, Margaret Dewitt of Lamesa; and sister Linda Bright of El Paso; and her furry friends.
