R.E. Hill

    Funeral service for R.E. Hill, 91, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 15, 2021at Second Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Dennis Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Monday, June 14, 2021 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Branon Funeral Home.
    R.E. passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas.  
    He was born June 26, 1929 in Willow, OK to Walter Clarence and Zula Ann (Blevins) Hill. He married Mollie Davis on February 17, 1951 in Dawson County. They were married for 70 years. 
    R.E. had a passion for truck driving which he did for much of his life, he also loved farming, gardening, his dogs and loved a good cigar.
    R.E. is survived by his wife Mollie Hill of Lamesa; children, Gene Hill and wife Sue Decoto of Yakima, Washington, Cindy Hill and husband Danny Simpson of Lubbock, Texas, Susan Vandivere of Lamesa and Nick Hill and wife Maribel of Austin, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
    R.E. was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Zula; Clifford Hill, Richard Hill and Norma Combs.
