Oscar Vasquez

    Oscar Garza Vasquez, 68, of Lamesa passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Lamesa, Texas.  
    Oscar was born July 30, 1952 in Kenedy, Texas to Seledonio and Maria (Garza) Vasquez. Oscar loved to go fishing and was an avid golf player.  Oscar spent 20 years in his second home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Oscar felt most at peace being by the water.  
    He was a loving son, father, husband, Popo and hero/mentor.  He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
    Oscar is survived by his children; Teresa Samora and husband, Renee, Andrew Vasquez and wife, Jill, and Sandra Vasquez and wife, Beth Chavez, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Amber, Marissa, Isaac, Noah, Marcus, Hannah, Hailey, Nevaeh, Jacob, Nicholas and Annalisa; great grandchildren, Joshua, Lilliana, Elena and Jewelee; his wife of 25 years, Anna M. Vasquez; sisters, Alicia Davilla and Sylvia Campos, both of Lamesa, and Amelia Macias of Lockney; father, Seledonio Vasquez; and a host of nieces and nephews.  
    He is preceded in death by his mother; and brother, Seledonio Vasquez, Jr.
