Ortensia ‘Tencha’ Rodriguez

    Funeral services for Ortensia “Tencha” Rodriguez, 65, of Lamesa will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joey Rivas officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Viewing will be held at Branon Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Seating is limited and facial masks are required at funeral home and cemetery.
    Tencha passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 in Lamesa. 
    She was born January 24, 1955 in Lamesa to Jesus and San Juana (Frausto) Moreno.  She married Julian Rodriguez February 14, 1990 in Lamesa, Texas.  She loved cooking for her family and loved caring for her grandchildren. She loved to shop and listen to music.   
    Tencha is survived by her husband, Julian Rodriguez of Lamesa; children, Terry Ortiz and Rogelio Garcia of Lamesa, Seferino Ortiz Jr. “Pogo” and wife, Becky of Lamesa, Stephanie Ortiz and Ruben Medrano of Lamesa, Joe Rodriguez and wife, Alice of Lamesa, Mary Bolton and husband, James of Lamesa; and Dora Luna and Anthony Vara of Lamesa; grandchildren, Baxter, Braxton, Noeah, Braxel, Ozieano, Izyk, Trey, Haitey, Jeremy, Kari, Jessie and Gunner; seven great grandchildren;  siblings, Estefana Rodriguez, Enedelia Perez, Mage Vela and Carmelo Moreno; numerous nieces and nephews.  
    Pallbearers: Baxter Macias, Braxton Macias, Ozieano Ortiz, Izyk Ortiz, Trey Ortiz, Jeremy Ortiz, Jessie Ortiz, Gunner Medrano, Xavier Vela, Tyler McClanahan, and Eric Mancha.  
    She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jesse Moreno, Lupe Moreno, Jimmy Moreno and Juan Moreno.
